Elevate HER: Legacy Lounge Experience – Black Women’s History Month Celebration

Elevate HER marked the inaugural celebration of Black Women’s History Month with our first awards reception, where seven underrepresented and overlooked Black women community leaders were recognized and celebrated. Hosted by LaVondra Shinholster, The Typical BlaQueen, with special panel guest Noémie Gaines – Storyteller, Strategist, and Soft Power Advocate, the evening uplifted the brilliance and resilience of Black women in leadership. Award categories included: Community Roots Award, Crown Her Legacy Award, Healing Her Award, Rising Crown Award, SHE Leads Award, Sisterhood in Action Award, and the W.E.A.L.T.H. Builder Award. Together, we amplified the voices and contributions that have long shaped our community’s foundation.

Our Birth Our Stories

Moderated by Co-Chair of Prince George’s County Council and District 7 Councilwoman Krystal Oriadha, MECD Founder and Executive Director LaToya Ball joins an esteemed, educated, and experienced panel to honor Black Maternal Health Week. Together, they will discuss personal stories, highlight disparities, and shed light on the untold realities surrounding healthcare and Black maternal health. This powerful dialogue aims to amplify voices often left unheard and drive meaningful change in maternal wellness and advocacy within our community.

In Partnership with Paige Group Foundation Community Impact Project: Community Partnership Information Session
Co-Founders LaToya Ball and Tamika Paige host our Quarter 1 informational session to connect with potential partners interested in expanding their community impact. Attendees will learn about the founding organizations, the SHE Suite’s mission, and the incredible resources, tools, and support available through partnership. This session explores how collaboration with the SHE Suite can amplify services, uplift residents, and build a stronger, more empowered community. Community Art Project In Partnership with Paige Group Foundations

In Partnership with Paige Group Foundation & District 7 Council Woman Krystal Oriadha Community Impact Project: Domestic Violence Community Art Project
With direction from Lai, the Foundation, and the women of Shepherd’s Cove Shelter, this powerful community art project was created to represent the survival and resilience of domestic violence survivors. The artwork will travel through County administration buildings, offering residents a moving visual journey that raises awareness about domestic violence and the lasting impact it leaves on survivors. This initiative serves as a beacon of healing, education, and hope for the entire community.

S.H.E. Gala

In partnership with EMPLOY Prince Georges, Team ME will be honored as a new partner to execute an economic succession plan for women within Prince George’s County. We are honored to share space and celebrate women in leadership. Featured Speakers/Guests: Autumn Joi, Angel Gregario, Dr. Tammara Lucas, Jennifer Pessima, Kimberly Lacy, Tiffany Capri, and more.

Boss 'N' Up Series: Guide to Financial Success

In partnership with Kidz with Talents Part 2 of the Boss “N” Up Series will be lead by Educator & Author Tyronda Boone M. Ed and M. Fin, This class will be held virtually for entrepreneurs between the ages of 6-17, children, and their families to get educated and learn the basics of Credit, Budgeting, Saving, Spending, Interest, and Wealth.

Boss “N” Up Series: Mastering Marketing

The Boss “N” Up Series in Partnership with Kidz with Talents is starting with a virtual marketing course for young entrepreneurs between the ages of 6-17. This class will be educational with the objective to show young entrepreneurs how to connect and make an impact in their business. The class is being led by Education Enrichment Specialist Patricia Clahar.

LoveFest

Team ME was chosen to join several guests of honor as we led a symposium for several young women, who were students of Dunbar High School. During that time we led an open discussion, about dating, love, and relationships. After the general conversation, Team ME was delighted to spend more personal one-on-one time in a classroom setting with 12 young women where we discussed habitat, how your environment affects you, and life’s responsibilities.

Vision Board Workshop

In Partnership with Kidz with Talents we are hosting a Vision Board Party that is open to all ages. This is a family event and we want everyone to create a plan for generational wealth now!

The Wedding

Team ME is hosting The Wedding. An open forum to discuss and educate on emotional intelligence, and how to live peacefully amongst ourselves and those around us. There is a heavy emphasis on aligning the spirit, heart, and brain. Special Guests Include: Podcasts Hosts of The Root Cause, Social Influencer, and Forgiveness Coach, Kelli Ware, Social Influencer, Life and Nutrition Coach The Tranquil G, Podcast Host, Certified Doula, and Social Influencer the Mad Milfy, and Podcast Host Konversationz with Karmen.

Black Women's History Month Celebration: Sisters in Strength

In preparation for Black Women’s History Month, Team ME is hosting a photoshoot to celebrate Women of Strength. Our shoot will celebrate past African American woman leaders and highlight our rising stars. In addition to showing our strength in front of the camera we will be collecting donations to stuff purses for the women of Arnolds Place. The first transitional home in Prince Georges County for women and their children.

Everybody’s Responsibility

It partnership with the DHONs Podcast, Team ME is hosting a Black Business Mixer. The purpose of this mixer is to not only celebrate the progression of black business but to also build a healthy bridge between the black consumer and the black business. We are coming together for healthy dialogue and sustainable solutions with the intent to build relationships.

Christmas Surprise in Partnership with Operations of Angels

In Partnership with Removing the Mask with Stephanie, and Operations of Angels, Team ME came together to fundraise and provide new bedding sets to the women of Shepard’s Cove Women’s Shelter.

Pain to Purpose Conference

In partnership with Removing the Mask with Stephanie, Team ME was a proud supporter, of the Pain to Purpose Conference, where there were several sessions showing women, the importance of self love, gave tools and resources for women to begin practicing self love, and hosted several activities to promote self love. Here we began the campaign to redecorate all 92 rooms of the Shepard’s Cove Women’s Shelter.

Take Flight in Partnership with Operation of Angels

In partnership with Operation of Angels, Removing the Mask with Stephanie, and Lonnie Grant Enterprises Team ME joined forces to inspire and encourage the Fabulous women of Shepard’s Cove Women’s Shelter. The women were greeted with love as they were preparing for their next flight in life. This was a forum to propel the women and provide, them with motivation and resources during this layover in life. I am proud to say within sixty days of this event, we celebrated one woman gaining employment with the federal government and two women signing the lease on their own apartments.

Open Discussion and Forum for WOMEN only to discuss mental and emotional health. The discussion will be led by Author & Transformational Coach Kelli Ware, and Social Influencer Geri Ash.
